Fun City!!

We had a great time at the waterpark. We also did bowling where I BEAT Darryl the first game and Alivia beat Trevor. But the boys won the second game although I was coming off a spare and Darryl was only 6 pins ahead of me in the 8th frame when our time ran out :( So it could have turned out differently.
Trevor, Darryl and I did play Lazer tag where they both ganged up on me and killed me 17 times in 7 1/2 minutes. I did get 3 kills in, one beings by sneaking up on Darryl while he was after Trevor and shooting him in the back.
It was a great time and the kids want to go back before April 2009.

Spring Planting

I was so excited on Monday, Tuesday and Wed. at the spring weather that I went out and bought some annuals. I got lots of yellow plants and some white. I also found these crazy spiral green plants at a local greenhouse. She said they are a perennial but aren't zoned for this area. I will try to keep them in the basement and see if they will grow back next year cause they are a crazy cool looking plant.
Now today it was cooler and it may get cold tonight my husband said they were talking SNOW.
So I went out and covered all my newly planted annuals and I pray them make it!
I'm so ready for nice weather and flowers to be in bloom and to be able to wear skirts and shorts.
Let's hope it comes soon.

My 36th Birhtday

It was my 36th Birthday on Thursday April 24th. I celebrated by getting my hair colored and cut. It was a rainy day all day which was sad but all in all a good day.
My kids brought me breakfast in bed. Alivia had me call our home phone from my cell phone to let them know I was up. Then Trevor brought me up a huge bowl of Fruity Pebbles which I only ate half of it beings I don't eat breakfast. I know it's the most important meal of the day let it go! Anyway and Alivia brought me up a glass of OJ. For my gift Alivia bought me with her own money Hershey's Kisses with almonds and her and Trevor made me a card. Trevor being a typical guy put no thought into it but made it for me at the last minute. He's a lot like his dad and guys in general :(
I got an awesome purse from my mom and dad, a gift card to Sephora from my friend Sherry, a pot with pansies in them from my friend Sheri, money from my brother which I used at the Bon Jovi concert, a gift card to Starbucks from Vanessa, a photo album from Dodie, a necklace and table covering from my mother-in-law, I also got birthday cards and calls and emails that day.

We are leaving for Burlington to stay at Fun City with the kids for a night this weekend.
That's where we got the picture for our Christmas cards from 2007 is at the waterpark in Burlington. I plan to take pics and I will post them for all to see.

Bon Jovi Live

Last night I went back to Des Moines and back to the Wells Fargo Arena. The big difference is that last night I rocked out to Bon Jovi "Lost Highway" Tour with special guest Daughtrey. It's been a LONG time since I've been to a rock concert and not much has changed. The crowd was yelling and on their feet and my ears were ringing for hours afterwards. The concert was awesome!! It amazed me that after 20 years Jon and the gang can still jump around, and rock out as good as what they did so many years ago. They sounded just as great as what they did in the 80's. The tickets were free from a friend and I went with her and her two daughters. The older daughter was up with me watching what I was doing and then coping me. She is 11 years old. Her sister who is 10 took a little nap during the first half of Bon Jovi performing. I don't know how she slept. So today I'm so so so tired. but it was worth it :)

Darryl had the camera with him in Texas. Now that he is back I'll be able to post some current pics of the kids.

Weekend Revival

Some friends and I just spent the day in Des Moines,IA at A Christian conference "Just Give Me Jesus" with Ann Graham Lotz. It was so wonderful to hear her speak and preach and teach us from the word of God. The Holy Spirit was in that arena and working in all our lives that went.
I accepted Christ into my life when I was six at a Baptist church. Then re-dedicated my life to Christ in Jr. High at bible camp. There are so many highs and lows in your Christian walk. God has you on a path and unfortunately for me I turn left or right when I'm suppose to go straight. I take my eyes off of Him and get out of the Word, don't pray as much and spend more time on me then on Him. That's when things in my life start to go bad. From the conference I'm talking home that I NEED to be in His Word EVERYDAY. Even if it is 10 mins. I need to pray then open his word and read a passage and then pull out the main points of that passage, what I think God is saying in that passage and then turn it into a question for me to answer or for me to find the answer. Secondly I need to wrap my arms around my husband when he gets home from Texas and tell him that I'm glad he's home and that I'm sorry I was mad at him before he left. And last I need to give my finances over to God and seek Him in all I do. Starting with giving back to Him what He has given to me and then praying for guidance in what to do with the rest of the money for that week.
God is SO Good and SO Faithful and I'm so glad He choose to create me and has directed my path since before time. I went for a revival today and God DID revive me and my spirit.
Now I would love to see churches in America including my own church have a revival to awaken the souls of all the Christians in there who just come on Sunday but are not growing, serving or loving God with all there Hearts, Souls and Minds!!! This is the First and greatest command. Jesus is coming again and we need to be ready we need to awaken our spirits and love Him!
