If it's not for a concert I just don't think....

OK, I'm finally recovered! Monday morning I got up at 4:30am (you all know I don't do early) for Vanessa to pick me up at 5:00am so we could go to the homeschool to get classes for our kids for next year. These are just fun extra classes in art, science and for Trevor spanish that a teacher does and it gives me a little break from school that day and the kids get to meet others.

So we get to the homeschool parking lot about 5:30 and when we pull in there is a line of 50 people in front of us. So that would mean that these people got up even earlier to be there by who knows what time in the morning. There was even a truck that had a camper on the back of it. So those people must have camped out to get the first place in line.

Now last year I was in NYC and Darryl did this for me and next year I hope to be in NYC so he will do it for me again. I sat there thinking we are doing this to get our kids into classes they don't need and if it's not for a concert like KISS, Bon Jovi, or other awesome bands I'm just not sure it is worth it.

Here is a picture of the people in front of me in line.

Mother's Day

AAHHH Mother's day the one day we get "off" from doing all our regular things and get to enjoy being celebrated.....right???

My Mother's Day started out with the kids coming up to my bed crawling in with me and hugging me. A very nice way to wake up. Then I came downstairs to a dozen yellow roses a card from each child and a card from my husband. I was able to lay around in the afternoon after we got back from my parents house and it was a relaxing day.

I hope you all had a great day as well!

Soccer gone Bad

Alivia is in spring soccer this year and the cards are stacked against them. Before their first game they got in one full practice and 30 min. of their second practice because of rain and lighting. We go to Solon for all the games and there first game they got killed 8-1. The second game and practice rained out :( One more practice in and then the next day the third game. This team was more up our league but they still beat us 3-1 with Alivia as the goal keeper who was unable to stop 2 goals. So we lightly teased her that they lost because of her. Then yes one more practice in with the last game on Saturday. It was a good try but another beating of 10-2!!
So for my $30.00 to Lisbon Parks and Rec. we got in 3 games, never won and had to drive to Solon all three times. It was a major bummer. I think next year we will go with Mount Vernon so we can stay more local and have more games to be played. I will post some pics of her playing. She loves the sport and is great as a forward because she is so fast at running. We told her to stick with that and not to volunteer to be goalie :)

Trevor turns 12!!!!

Happy Birthday to Trevor Lee Collins Studt!!! He turned 12 on May 3rd. He was so excited and couldn't wait. I also couldn't wait because I was getting so tired of hearing 20 times a day..........
5 more days until my birthday, I can't wait... 4 more days until my birthday, I can't wait.....
3 more days until my birthday, I can't wait. You get the point and now it's.... Today's my first time at band practice as a 12yr. old, tonight will be my first time at Tae Kwon Do as a 12 year old. It really is funny. I wish I could be that excited about getting a year older.
Ok a funny story to tell...... Our power went out on Saturday around noon and since there was nothing to do Trevor wanted to watch a dvd on our portable dvd player. But it had a low battery and since we had no electricity to charge it I said he could go out to the car and plug it in there on the car charger. A little while longer I looked and there he is in the driveway in the car buckled up in the front seat. That made my day!!! I've been telling Darryl that Trevor has to be a lot like him because he does some really weird things and I was never like that. His sisters confirmed that yes Darryl was odd growing up. He says they are just saying that. But I do believe it's.....
Like Father....Like Son!!!
